“They were really excited about the meet,” said coach Matt Jeffries. “They were really excited to beat their old coach too.”
There were seventeen best times that night. Senior Nick Green swam well in the 100 back stroke and 100 freestyle. He swam a 1:11.54 in the 100 back, a personal best by one second and a 58.90 in the 100 free style, a lifetime personal best. Sophomore Dustin Baker swam another personal best in the 500 freestyle with a time a of 5:44.16, a six second personal best. Senior Cedric King won diving with a score of 206.45. Senior David Camp swam a personal best in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:05.90.
Freshman Spencer Blazek won the meet for the Cards by participating in diving. He dove for the first time this year. He placed third in diving, giving the team three points and helping beat
“Everybody swam really well,” said Jeffries.
