On Jan. 9, Southport wrestled at the Columbus East Invitational. Five teams where there and Southport went 2-3. Seniors Vinney Parmer and Jordan East, junior John Cleary and sophomore Ronnie Jones each went undefeated at the tournament.
The team was originally scheduled to go to the Old Capital Classic Invitational but it got cancelled because of snow.
