The Southport boys basketball took on conference rival Franklin Central last Friday night. The Cards came out on the losing side of a long and hard-fought game, 48-41. Southport went into halftime with a one point lead but were outscored 4-10 in the third quarter, allowing the Flashes to earn a bit of a cushion going into the fourth quarter, eventually coming away with the victory.
Sophomore Mike Ramey led the Cardinals with 17 points on the night. Sophomore Kellon Thomas also added eight points for Southport.
