Southport beat Washington 74-6 on Monday Nov. 30. According to Coach Mr. Todd Weaver, it went pretty well. Before the meet, they worked on how to get away from wrestlers when they leach onto each other, but working on it didn’t help much at the meet.
“[freshman] Frankie Trevino and [senior] Vinny Parmer wrestled very well. We could see a lot of what we were working on in their matches. Our weakness is not wrestling hard to whole match and Frankie did the best of anyone with continuing to wrestle the whole time and not giving up.”
They are working on fixing their mistakes in practices.
