The Lady Cards came out on top Tuesday night against the Franklin Central Flashes in the first round of county. The Lady Cards won, 52-43. They started off the first half with 29 points. Junior Ali Walker led the team with 20 points followed by freshman Bria Wright with 9 points.
“We played really well,” said senior Stephanie Shobe. “We had a lot to prove at this game and it was a big team win.”
The Lady Cards will play in the second round of county against Pike Red Devils. The Red Devils advanced to the second round of county by beating Lawrence Central, 42-32.The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m.
