The Southport Girls Swimming & Diving team suffered a defeat at home on Thursday evening, November 19th, in a hard-fought season debut meet against Ben Davis. The final score was Southport 60, Ben Davis 123. Head Coach Jeffries, in his first-ever meet as coach of Southport, is definitively optimistic.
“I am pleasantly surprised by some things, however this meet does serve as a reminder of what work we have yet to do,” Coach Jeffries said after the meet.

When asked to look forward on overall goals for the season, he noted that the team has a lot of learning to do, and that specifically, a lot of technical training lies ahead.
“Ultimately our goal this season is to get the technique down,” Coach Jeffries said.
The Cardinal Girls’ next meet is away at Pike, Tuesday at 6pm.
