The Lady Cards began their season with a big win over Lebanon High School, 69-39. Former Indiana University women’s basketball player and first year head coach, Leah Enterline, guided the Cards to get the first win of her career. The Lady Cards played well on both sides of the ball as they never trailed during the course of the game. All-Conference junior Ali Walker picked up where she left off last season as she led the ladies with 23 points. Senior guard Samantha Shobe also played a great game on defense.
“It feels great,” said Shobe, “it gives us some reassurance of our practice habits and motivation for the next game.”
The Cards will look to stick to their winning ways as they travel south to take on the Seymour Owls Tuesday, Nov. 17. Tipoff is at 7:30.
