The IUPUI natatorium served as the final stage for seniors Kyle Kibby’s and James Sweeney’s high school diving career. On Saturday, Feb. 28th the boys dove in the Indiana State diving meet, the culmination of a great season for the diving duo.
Kyle Kibby led the way for the cardinals, scoring 380 points, which landed him a 12th place finish. Sweeney finished behind with a 20th place finish, and a score of 246. Both Sweeney and Kibby earned the privilege of diving in the national meet over the Summer.
Diving Head Coach Laura Schroeder was very proud of their performance.
“The boys should be very proud of making it to state and competing how they did,” said Schroeder, “it was a great way to end the season.”
