The Southport lady soccer team struggled Monday evening as they opened the Marion Country Tourneyment against rival Perry Meridian. The Cards struggled to get in a rythm early on and feel down hill from the start. After a nine day lay off the Southport Lady Cards seemed to be a little rusty.
The Cards didn’t have many shot attempts and just coultn’t get anything going offensivly, they also couldn’t stop Perry Meridian’s Bianca Cotter who scored three times. The final score of the game was 6-0.
The Lady Cards stand at 2-9-1, (1-5) and don’t play again untill October 6 against Conference Indiana opponent Bloomington North at Home and final game at Columbus North. Even though the Conference Indiana title is out of reach the Cards still have a chance to start off fresh and win their final two games to gain momentum into sectionals on Oct. 15
