The Southport girls volleyball team lost Thursdays evening against the Trojans of Center Grove after a deciding 3 sets. Center Grove snapped the Cards 2 game win streak, but continue to give the Lady Cards woes at home. The Lady Cards record at home is 2-5, with their wins coming during their invitational on Aug. 23
“We played well in the first set,” said senior Nataile Lay, “but after that, we just played like we were drained and couldn’t get anything going.”
The Lady Cards are now 7-9, (1-4) and they are still trying to find that mark to get over .500. Hopefully they will regain momentum with four games left against Whiteland on Sep. 24 and the Brebeuf Invitational on Sept. 27.
